Start at any participating shop either in person or at a LIVE VIRTUAL event. You will have the opportunity to see what special yarns they have for fall and the Yarn Crawl and will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate from the store you are visiting once you scan that shop’s unique QR code. Don’t forget to scan each shop’s unique QR code before leaving the store or the LIVE event. Scanning the QR code is the equivalent to having your passport stamped. See our Passport page for detailed information & help on preparing to scan the QR codes.
Once you have visited all participating shops and scanned their unique QR codes, you will automatically be entered for one of 7 grand prize drawings for baskets filled with special somethings from many of your favorite yarn companies.
No purchase necessary! All you need to do to enter is to scan each participating shop’s unique QR code when you visit in person or attend a LIVE event.

Participants must have scanned all 7 QR codes to be eligible to enter Grand Prize/First Prize drawings.
Official stamps can only be obtained during the yarn crawl dates: July 29 – August 12, 2023.

Grand Prize/First Prize drawings will be held approximately 2 weeks after the end of the Yarn Crawl. It takes a few days for us to meet and put all the entries together to draw for the prizes.

No, you must be present at the shops or LIVE events to have your passport stamped.

You will be called on the phone number you have given to us on the Entry forms you filled out when you scanned the QR code for each shop. We will also tag you on social media if you use it.

Note: if you win a prize during the Hot August Knits Yarn Crawl, you are giving us permission to use your image and your name in future advertising and promotion of the yarn crawl.
